Hello world! and a quick rant

As a programer begining a new language always writes out “Hello world!”

Well now that’s done lets jump into the fire.  Today I attended the APS (American Physical Society) Four Corners Conference down at the School of Mines.  It was cool to get to go to this and see all of the presenters but we also had a regional meeting for SPS (society of physics students)  and was surprised at how inefficiently they run their program.  Mines had more than two times the number of officers there than the rest of the schools put together.  Instead of asking for volunteers they seemed to make a slot for every thing that needed to get done.  It also felt to me like they were the only group that mattered.  In the end nothing got accomplished.
